Term Dates 2021-2022

Clothing

At Doddi pre-school our children and staff love messy play, painting and having fun outside exploring the mud kitchen, garden and pond. We wear aprons inside and outdoor gear when outside but sometimes still get messy. Please dress your child in suitable clothing and footwear for the weather. Sun hats and suncream please for Summer days, waterproofs, wellies, hats and scarves at other times. This enables us to enjoy the outdoors whatever the weather.

Please pack a change of clothing if children do happen to get wet or muddy they can get changed into some warm, dry clothes. We do have some spares, just in case.  Please label everything your child brings to pre-school, bags, clothes, books and toys.

Please pack nappies and preferred wipes if required and a favourite potty if need be.

Snack Time

We provide a healthy snack for the children.  It is an important time of the day and they love to help prepare the food. If your child has any allergies or special dietary requirements please speak to a member of staff.

Pre-School Journal

The setting keeps a Pre-School journey for each child. Staff work with parents to provide what each child needs for their progress and well being. If your child has done something wonderful, please make a note and it can be added to their journal.

Book Bag

We have some lovely bright yellow book bags that you can purchase from Pre-School for £3.50, you are welcome to use your bags to borrow books from the Pre-school book corner to take home.

Ofsted Parent View

Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about your child’s school, from the quality of teaching to dealing with bullying and poor behavior. The survey can be completed at any time; you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.

Ofsted will use the information you provide when making decisions about which schools to inspect and when.

Click ‘Give your views’ to register and complete a survey to help your child’s school improve.

We are a volunteer, committee led charity pre-school, this means you can be involved on the committee as a parent, carer or community member to help shape how pre-school develops.  Staff at the pre-school work with the committee of volunteers to manage and lead pre-school.  If you are interested in being involved with the committee, talk to any of our staff who will point you in the right direction.
